The Bukola Braiding First Annual Back To School Fundraiser for Alexandra House has turned out successfully. As at today, a total of $1489 was raised. Amount raised include supplies, gift cards, food, cash, charcoal, lighter, fluid and coupon. And, even though, the event occurred two weeks ago, donors are still knocking at the doors of Bukola Braiding to give their support.
Anoka County residents were at the forefront with their generous support. Many showed up at the event site at the Coon Rapids Dam Park in Coon rapids City with school supplies, food and cash donations, others called and brought supplies to Bukola braiding shop in Spring Lake Park while many are still calling and coming in with gifts.
It was such a blessing. Friends of Bukola were also helpful working in the background from the making of fliers to running errands during the event. Bukola braiding is grateful and will like to say a big than k you all everyone who made is a success. Alexandra House staff were present during the event and they could not be more grateful for the turn out. A video coverage of the event will be in the Episode 9 of Imprisoned Show, a show produced by Bukola to educate the public about human trafficking and dealing with domestic abuse issues.
